Christmas is a National Holiday

Christmas has brought out the atheistic crowd. They want to put their antagonistic signs next to the manger scenes and other displays that various communities still allow in the public square. I marvel that they are allowed to do it. To me it is not a first amendment issue. It was on June 28, 1870 that the Federal Government made Christmas a National Holiday. It was officially acknowledged as a recognition of the birth of Christ. The U.S. Supreme Court described Christmas as "acknowledged in the Western World for 20 centuries, and in this country by the people, the Executive Branch, Congress and the courts for two centuries." My word to the Atheist is this - You are welcome in this country. It may be your only chance to hear of the Savior, but do not try to destroy who we are. The rights you demand are God given, the very expression of your life and being. Believe nothing if you so desire, but this America trusts in the God you deny. And we who believe will battle to keep our America.
