LEAD BASED PAINT AND TOXIC TOYS - SOMETHING MUST BE DONE-
This is a serious problem that needs immediate attention by parents. There is an answer of which we must all be aware. Read below.
Train children to not chew on toys. Let me repeat the answer for emphasis. Train children to not chew on toys.
If a child is teething get them a teething ring or something similar on which they can chew.
Yes it is possible to teach a child that they may chew on a teething ring, but not on anything else. The government cannot solve this problem. Parents can. You may not be able to solve it for everybody else in the world, but take responsibility for the training of your own children.

Leave it to Massachusetts. Some in their Legislature want to ban parents from spanking children while those same legislators approve of killing the unborn child. How can this be? The answer is rooted in what we believe about human life. If you get that wrong you will get every issue wrong that deals with human life, death, rights and even the discipline of a child.
Mankind is made in the image of God. That is what gives value to his life over all other forms of life. Unfortunately human life has been marred by sin. Our first parents were created by God , but rebelled against Him. Their rebellion brought sin into the world in general and into the human race specifically. Now every person is born with a human nature that is plagued by the dominating presence of sin. Each person needs to come to know the God that created him. That knowledge of God can only come through Jesus Christ. He, the Son of God, became man, to bridge the gap between Deity and humanity. He died on the cross of Calvary to pay man's sin debt to God.
How do these truths affect our view on the issues listed above.
Abortion is wrong, because individual human life, made in the image of God, begins at the moment of conception. God gives life and only God should determine when and how life should be taken.
Euthanasia is wrong, because God the giver of human life has declared that taking innocent human life is wrong, even if it appears to be an act of mercy.
Capital punishment is right, especially for murder. God ordained capital punishment in the Scriptures as punishment for those who ignore the unfathonable value of human life, since that life is made in the image of God. There should not be reckless disregard for any kind of life, because mankind was given stewardrdship of God's creation, but human life is put on a totally different level of respect than all other kinds of life.
Children need to be disciplined and spanking is appropriate, because our precious children have been born with a sinful nature. They must be trained to respect their parents and other authority, so they will be ready to hear and consider the message of God's Word regarding their own salvation and how to live among men.
Certain rights are entrusted to mankind by our Creator and abrogating them are not within the purview of human government. If rights come from men, they can be taken away by men. We should all be concerned because as regard for God diminishes, everything He has taught us about life, death, rights, and family will fall by the wayside in our beloved America.

I recently spoke at Millersville University at a Campus Bible Fellowship meeting. We discussed relationships. I asked the students if they thought bigamy should be accepted in our society. Then I asked about polygamy, group marriages, an adult marrying a child or a human marrying a dog. One asked about other cultures where polygamy is commonly practiced. The young lady wanted to know if we dared say such a cultural practice is wrong for the people of that culture. Our answer, of course, is that it wrong for everyone. The reason being that God has ordained certain relationships as appropriate and certain others as wrong. He has the right to do that and He has clearly spoken on the issue. Another student asked about homosexuality. We made it clear that God has ordained that physical intimacy is wrong outside of the marriage of one man to one woman. All other such relationships including bigamy, polygamy, homosexuality or whatever we might come up with next are outside of God's plan. Amazingly the next day, Nov. 13, 2007, it was reported online that a man in India married a dog. So much for what other cultures might accept. But why are these things wrong? If we take the Bible out of the picture for evaluating right and wrong any one of the perverions mentioned earlier might very well find acceptance. In fact our society is on its way to the worst of perversions, because we are on our way to total rejection of the Bible. Watch and see what happens in the years ahead of us.
